In the company of a team of destination experts you will visit up to 8 emblematic islands that showcase the Seychelles incomparable landscapes. You can visit UNESCO sites, some of the world’s most famous beaches and magnificent islands. Search for iconic wildlife, snorkel in coral reefs and soak up the sights of this idyllic natural wonderland.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Your cruise starts in Victoria, the beautiful capital of the Seychelles which is located on Mahé, the largest island in the archipelago. You may wish to arrive here a few days early to enjoy some of the island’s 70 beaches, each one as stunning as the next. Embarkation will begin in the afternoon.

The first stop on our wonderful Seychelles adventure will take us to discover the verdant islands and turquoise lagoons of Sainte-Anne, Ronde, Moyenne, Longue, and Cerf, which make up the Sainte Anne Marine National Park. The dream-like white sandy beaches lined with crystal-clear waters, granite rocks and swaying coconut trees look like a scene straight out of a dream and offer the perfect introduction to the Seychelles. Spend some time relaxing on the beach or take to the waters for a swim or snorkel to look for tropical fish, manta ray, dolphins and sea turtles.

Next up we head for the beautiful Remire Island which is renowned for its unique biodiversity, especially underwater. The exceptionally rich underwater life here make snorkelling a real delight, with a myriad of colourful fish living among the coral reefs that border the island. Above the water, the birdlife here is also fantastic and we will hope to view many different species as we enjoy a walk along the island’s lush vegetation.

Famous for the hundreds of Aldabra giant tortoises that live here, along with its distinctive red earth, Curieuse Island is the next stop on our trip and is likely to be one to remember. A National Marine Park, the underwater life here is outstanding and can be seen on a diving or snorkelling excursion. But it is the giant tortoises that bring people here and we will hope for the chance to meet these fascinating reptiles as we explore around the island.

We now spend a day on Aride Island which is a beautiful nature reserve that is home to several endemic plants as well as exceptional wildlife and birdlife. As we explore around the island with its wild cliffs and fine-sand beaches, we will be on the lookout for sea turtles on the beach, Wright’s skinks in the woodlands, and noddies, terns and Seychelles magpie-robins in the sky.

Today you can choose to spend an enjoyable day snorkelling in the translucent waters or relaxing on the beach observing the sea turtles on the remarkable Grande Soeur Island, thought of as one of the most beautiful islands in the Seychelles.

Our penultimate adventure takes us to the second largest island in the Seychelles, the fascinating Praslin Island. Our main draw here will be to trek inland to reach a stunning tropical rainforest where we will find the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve. In this veritable plant sanctuary, several endemic species of palm trees can be observed, as well as the famous sea coconut, which can weigh up to 20 kg and is sometimes called “coco fesse” because its shape calls to mind a pair of buttocks. There will also be time today for some diving and snorkelling in the surrounding turquoise waters.

Your last stop will be the magnificent and world renowned Anse Source d’Argent beach on the wonderful island of La Digue. A perfect picture postcard scene, La Digue exemplifies everything about the Seychelles and its striking beauty. The turquoise waters invite you for a swim or a snorkel in search of the giant tortoises, the emblematic large granite rocks with their pink highlights are a sight to behold, and the beaches fringed with coconut trees are simply unforgettable. What a way to end your adventure!
